Strong step-families

ECU student Emma Couzens is researching the experiences of biological parents who are living in a step-family as part of her Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) Honours at Edith Cowan University.

If you are the biological parent to a child between 5 years and 12 years of age, you have lived in your current step-family for longer than one year, and you’d like to share your story, she'd love to hear from you.

This is a wonderful opportunity to voice your unique outlook of what it is to be a biological parent in a step-family – a position that may one day inform others and provide support for those in similar circumstances.

A one-off interview will be held at a time and location convenient to you. Please note that informed consent will be required, however your details and responses will be coded so you can be confident that you will remain completely anonymous.

If you are interested in participating you can contact her by emailing ecouzen0@our.ecu.edu.au or calling 0434 116 304.
