Sorry Day

22 May, 2017

Friday May 26 is National Sorry Day and will mark the 20th Anniversary of the Bringing Them Home report.

Sorry Day is an important event that acknowledges the history of forcible removal of Aboriginal families and communities. It is a beautiful and powerful demonstration of reconciliation in action. This is an important day that supports truth, justice and healing for the Stolen Generations.

To mark this occasion we are joining the City of Kwinana, Moorditj Koort, Australian Red Cross, Aboriginal Engagement and Wesfarmers to hold a Sorry Day event which will be engaging and meaningful for the whole community. If you would like to know more about Aboriginal culture, history and past events, please come and join us on this memorable day. Lunch will be provided.
