You will be provided with reading materials and handouts once you arrive at your course. You might like to bring a pen and paper and a water bottle, although light refreshments are provided.

Where can I park?

We run courses from various locations and the parking situation is different across these locations. Generally, there is ample street parking in the vicinity of our offices, especially in the evening. We can provide location-specific parking information prior to the course and we are happy to answer queries regarding this if you wish to contact our office.

What do I do if I am running late, need to leave early or have to miss a session?

We aim to start and finish our courses and workshops on time. If you know you are going to be late, have to leave early or miss a session please ring or email during office hours using the details on your booking confirmation as soon as possible.

What happens if a course is cancelled?

Occasionally we may need to cancel or change the date of a course. If this occurs you will be advised immediately via email. Whilst every effort is made to ensure continuity of courses, in the event of a workshop or course being cancelled by Relationships Australia WA participants are offered the option of a full refund or a credit to attend a rescheduled course at a later date. Please refer to our refund policy on our webpage.

What happens if I get ill or change my mind and can’t attend? (Refund/Cancellation policy)

We understand that people become unwell or have circumstances that are outside of their control which may impact their capacity to attend. In these circumstances, we ask that you call our office at your earliest convenience to provide notice of your intention. Please refer to our refund policy on our webpage.

I would like to enrol but am going to miss one of the sessions in a long course. Can I still attend the others?

Whilst we work hard to adopt a flexible approach and aim to accommodate the individual needs of our participants, we will look at each request on a case by case basis. Missing one session of a long course (4 weeks or greater) can usually be accommodated. However, we suggest you call or email us to discuss if you are unsure.

Can I attend two long courses in one term?

We believe in ensuring people are practicing self-care and self-compassion. Our education team recommends enrolling in only one long course per term (5 weeks or more) to give yourself breathing space for your well-being and sufficient time to process and reflect on the valuable insights from the workshops.

Rest assured, many of our courses and workshops are offered multiple times throughout the year. Give yourself the gift of time to fully enjoy and benefit from your learning and self-development journey.

What happens when I arrive at a Relationships Australia WA course location?

When you arrive at Relationships Australia WA the name of your course will be well signed and will direct you to your training room, where your facilitator will be waiting to welcome you. Once comfortable you will be asked to complete some registration paperwork, and then your facilitator will introduce you to the other participants.

Toilets are close by and refreshments are available during the breaks.

Can I have my child/baby/children with me during the course?

No, it is not suitable for a participant to bring children or babies to any of the adult courses, this includes both our face-to-face and online courses.

Who will be in the workshop or course with me?

In both face-to-face and online courses there will be a facilitator (sometimes two, depending on the course) and between 6 and 16 participants. Generally, all of our participants are adults. We have several courses that cater to families, where children will be in attendance as participants. Generally, people come on their own (except for our couple courses).

Will I be put on the spot?

No – whilst participation is the best way to learn, your level of involvement, contribution and sharing is up to you.

Will there be breaks during the course?

Yes - all of our courses allow for breaks when you can stretch your legs and use the amenities.

Can I bring someone with me?

No - only people enrolled in the course can attend. This applies to face to face and online courses and workshops.  If you are wishing to bring a support worker, please contact our office on 6164 0200.

Is there Disability access?

We have multiple locations across WA. Relationships Australia strives to ensure accessibility to all people, however we advise that you call and speak to us to discuss your specific requirements to ensure that you have access to what you may require.

Why are some courses gender specific?

Some of our courses are gender-specific because they are based on research that points to gender-specific outcomes. For example, Dads and Daughters and Managing Anger and Stress for Women.
