Course Summary

Step and blended families operate in a different way to intact biological families. The dynamics of a stepfamily are more complex and there is a need for special understanding and management from both the biological and step-parent, working together, for healthy stepfamily growth to happen.

  • Full Day:

This course explores:

  • Common emotional reactions and difficulties for children
  • How parenting in a stepfamily is different to parenting in a biological family
  • How to nourish the couple bond and work together as a team
  • How to establish new routines, rules and boundaries
  • The importance of building new stepfamily rituals and traditions

What can you expect?

All our workshops and courses (face to face and online) are interactive small groups run by highly experienced facilitators.

We aim to ensure the learning environment is engaging and your active participation is needed. All participants are encouraged to ask questions in a safe, open, and non-judgemental learning environment.
