Children's Week

Children's Week celebrates the right of children to enjoy childhood. It is a time to focus the attention of the community on children, their needs and achievements. It is also a time for children to demonstrate their talents, skills and abilities.

We will be celebrating the start of Children’s Week at the Family Fun Day at Whiteman Park on Sunday 22 October from 10am to 2pm.

This is a free event and will feature plenty of activities to keep the children entertained. Bring a healthy picnic and enjoy the outdoors with your family.

Staff from Relationships Australia WA will be on hand to discuss family concerns and distribute brochures and flyers on the wide range of resources our organisations provide.

Children's Week

Children’s Week is an annual festival which is celebrated around Australia during the month of October and includes Universal Children’s Day, which is held always in the fourth Wednesday of October in Australia.

It’s a time to promote awareness of Children’s Rights as proclaimed in 1954 by the United Nations and to remind us of our community responsibility to adhere and advocate for children as citizens, to value our relationships by listening to children and acting genuinely and honestly in response to their needs, ideas and development.
