Course for couples

11 Jan, 2017

Would you like to improve your relationship skills to future-proof your new relationship?

With the aim of strengthening mutual understanding, communication and intimacy, Together Forever is a course that is an investment in your future happiness. This weekend course is for couples either already living together or planning to marry or live together permanently.

Topics covered during the course include communication skills, including an awareness of each other’s actions that block communication, the part anger plays in relationships, positive attitudes around conflict, the five love languages, ways to increase and maintain intimacy, and the need to make prime time for each other.

Couples are encouraged to reflect on the following:
  • Why you were attracted to each other in the first place – it will be your foundation when times get tough.
  • You don’t know what you don’t know until you know it – there is so much to learn that will make an unforgettable difference to your relationship if you take the time.
  • The power of appreciating your partner – to practice gratitude.
  • To take time to listen to each other – it’s the greatest gift you can give to your partner.
When: 17 18 19 March
Where: West Leederville
Cost: $160 per couple. Concession available

Together Forever is a useful addition to the Prepare/ Enrich Questionnaire

- an online program designed to focus on important relationship issues. It includes a customised couple assessment, completed online by each individual, that identifies a couple's strength and growth areas. Following the results from the online assessment and initial one hour session, one of our trained facilitators provides 3 hours of feedback, over 2 or 3 sessions, in which the facilitator helps the couple discuss and understand their results as they are taught proven relationship skills and exercises.

More than 3 million couples internationally have participated in Prepare-Enrich during the past 30 years. It will help you:

  • Identify strength and growth areas
  • Explore personality traits
  • Strengthen communication skills
  • Resolve conflicts and reduce stress
  • Compare family backgrounds
  • Comfortably discuss financial issues
  • Establish personal, couple, and family goals
